Data Deletion

This English text is a convenience translation. The legally binding version is the German original: zur deutschen Fassung.

Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. On this page you will find which data Breezl stores and by which means you can permanently remove your account and all associated data.

Which Data Is Stored

When your account is deleted, the following data is removed:

Account data: name, email address, and your hashed password
Content: shopping lists and list items
Households: households in which you are the only member, including categories, stores, and aisle layouts
Memberships: your memberships and pending invitations in shared households
Notifications: your activity notifications and push notifications
Device and access tokens: registered devices for push as well as personal API access tokens

Shared households with other members are retained for them; only your membership is removed.

Delete Your Account in the App

If you are logged in, you can delete your account directly yourself:

Profile → Manage profile → Danger zone → Delete account

You confirm the deletion by entering a confirmation word. Your account is then deleted immediately and you are automatically logged out on all devices.

Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have access to the app, send an informal email to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion" and state your registered email address. We will process your request and delete your data within 30 days.

Irreversible

The deletion is final and cannot be undone. Back up any content you wish to keep beforehand. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
