Accessibility at Breezl

We want Breezl to be usable by as many people as possible — regardless of ability, assistive technology, or input device.

We publish this statement voluntarily. As a micro-enterprise, we are currently not required to provide a formal accessibility statement under Germany's Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG). Accessibility matters to us all the same.

The standard we aim for

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our benchmark — the standard the European norm EN 301 549 also refers to.

Current status

Breezl is not yet fully conformant. We had the web app and this website independently audited for accessibility and are actively working through the findings. Among them:

We are rolling these improvements out step by step.

Not yet fully assessed

Some areas that require signing in — such as checkout, household management, and the camera barcode scan — have not yet been fully assessed for accessibility. For the barcode scan a non-camera alternative already exists: you can always search for an item and add it by hand.
